I prefer to work with fixed fees.  This can be done whenever you can scope the project.  Some projects are just impossible to scope and must be hourly rate or a combination.

Meeting deadlines depends on clients providing all required background material and returning draft revisions promptly.

 

Retainer of 30% required for new clients or jobs exceeding $2000.  Progress payments may be requested during extended projects.

 

Expedite fees: 25% for 48 hour deadlines, or shorter; 50% for assignments given on Thursday or Friday with a Monday or Tuesday deadline.  100% for major holidays.

 

Full payment of agreed fee is due if project is killed for any reason after writing is complete. 

 

Full payment of accumulated hours is due if project is killed during the composition stage.

 

Quoted fees include 2 rounds of revision.  Additional revisions are charged at the hourly rate.
